OCEANIC (2014)

Oceanic was a pop-up exhibition at RexRomae Gallery in Shoreditch, London, bringing together two internationally respected artists, Askew One and Fintan Magee, whose distinctive practices intersect through a shared background in street art and a deep engagement with cultural identity and global narratives. Curated by Rom Levy, the show presented new bodies of work by both artists alongside indoor and outdoor murals at the gallery’s temporary space on Great Eastern Street. Askew One’s contribution to Oceanic featured a series of layered, greyscale works on Plexiglass that drew inspiration from the diverse peoples and histories of the Pacific region.
