ENTROPIC WORLD (2018)
A series of works that explore the dynamic tension between form, technology, and decay. Originating from 3D-scanned objects, organic matter and urban surfaces, the compositions are abstracted into dense, layered fields reminiscent of microcosmic structures and shifting ecologies. The series reflects on entropy as a creative force: the constant processes of breakdown, recombination, and emergence that shape visual experience and contemporary life. While rooted in abstraction, the series reflects Askew’s broader interest in how systems, whether natural, technological, or social, evolve through breakdown and regeneration, and how visual language can represent that delicate balance between order and chaos.
