THE EVOLVING FACE (2013)

The Evolving Face was Askew One’s first solo exhibition in Sydney, presented at The Tate in late 2013. The series brought Askew’s longstanding interest in portraiture, identity, and visual transformation into a gallery context in Australia, showcasing a body of work that explores how faces, and by extension cultural identities, shift, accumulate meaning, and reflect lived experience in a globalised world.
